What do I mean by human apex predators?

These are usually cunning individuals who mostly by theft acquire wealth and access to the resources of the world.
They are usually selfish, narcissistic, and more often lacking empathy and presenting a puerile worldview, a proto-adult.
On the Cooke-Greuter scale of human development, they are mostly only on the scale of 2, 3 maybe 4.

How do apex predators amass their wealth?

Mainly by theft, but less frequently, inheritance.
The theft is either from a neighbour, a colleague, a partner, a company, a privileged position, a government, a country, or a continent.
The Western system is centred around acquiring individual personal wealth.
The Eastern system tends to prioritize society and its infrastructure to gain a more equitable life for all.
That is a simple but fundamental difference but there are always apex predictors in both systems however and the task is to organise the system in such a way as to contain individual greed and promote societal responsibility.

How do Apex creditors maintain their wealth?

They, with their immense wealth, buy themselves high-profile people, people that can protect them, that is the politicians, judges and governments
They write the laws to protect their criminal exploitative conduct.
They buy up the media to quell dissent, control populations by propaganda, to promote that personal wealth hoarding will ultimately benefit the public.
They indoctrinate children by infiltrating elite schools and universities.
They own banks, oil companies, pharmaceuticals, insurance and industrial military companies.

Make no mistake we are ruled mentally challenged-wealth hoarders that are now the biggest threat to our planet. We have allowed them to control our universities, politicians, governments, media and the planet. They poison our environment, our planet’s health, and our health.
